Our Birdies left the nest

The first two of five eggs, that were laid in the nest built on top of our propane tank, hatched in April. By May 3rd the baby birds started leaving the nest periodically. The first photo shows the silhouette of one of the baby birds. The second shows the empty nest left behind. I can’t believe the mother bird left it there!!! Now they are all gone! The good news is we can now fill up the big propane tank. Next year we are putting up some wire-netting around the lid to prevent any more nests being built on our propane tank.
