Texas Vacation

Our Texas Vacation was absolutely awesome. We landed at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport, picked up our rental car and headed to our hotel. We found an awesome place to eat; that is sort of a Deli – Eatzi’s food to go. Eatzi’s is to wholesome health food to what Cracker Barrel is to Southern home cooked foods; the best of the bests. The next day we headed to our friend’s Ranch in Central Texas, the Two Lazy G’s Ranch.

The first thing we noticed is the green … green grass and trees with wide flat leaves everywhere! Second is the cleanliness. Texan’s are very polite, we were out and about all week and only met one person who wasn’t polite, Southern Hospitality is all over Texas!

Texas pride, Oh My Gosh, the Lone Star Flies everywhere: homes, stores, ranches, business, schools, even doctor offices! Seems like inside every stores there are Texas memorabilia available – even grocery stores! Love it! Texan’s love their State.

We saw a lot of Texas in a short time thanks to our tour guides, John and Sandy from Two Lazy G Ranch. We went to Texas A & M University, Will Rogers Memorial Museum, Fort Worth Live Stock Exchange and the Slaughter house. Lone Star Park – Horse Racing, saw the Book Depository where Lee Harvey Oswald hid to assassinate JFK. We really enjoyed dining and betting on the horses at the Race Track.

Our vacation was awesome we are definitely looking forward to going back to Texas 🙂
