Two days ago I marinated some London Broil with Italian Dressing. Then I remembered our BBQ is packed. Now how do I cook it? I have a crock pot, an electric skillet, cast iron pans and a Coleman stove hmmm I have no idea which would make a tasty meal out of London Broil.
My trusty internet to the rescue did a search for London Broil and found a site which cooks it in the crock pot. It turned out amazingly good. I had to fudge the recipe a bit since it called for packaged Italian seasoning. I had already marinated the London Broil in Italian salad dressing so I eliminated the Italian seasoning package from the recipe. I did use the recommended pack of brown gravy, and ranch dressing mixed together with water. I rinsed most of the salad dressing off of the London broil – left some – then added the package mixture and cooked for a few hours on high in the crock pot. It turned out so tender and flavorful. No vinegar taste to it – which I was afraid would happen. Served with veggies and taters it made a nice dinner.
Thank you Cooks.com for a terrific recipe…saved the day 🙂
