Thanksgiving 2011 Forest City, NC

Christmas Tree Lighting

We spent Thanksgiving dinner at our friends home, had a delicious meal. I brined my first Turkey. Turned out awesome ~ the white meat was so flavorful and wasn’t dry. (thank you Tammy Shore- Bentley for the tip).

After dinner we went to Forest City to watch the Christmas tree lighting.
We walked down Main Street to view all the decorations at each intersection, each one. had a different scene.  Enjoyed Christmas music the entire time, local musician played all evening.

The carriage rides do not start until December, we’ll have to go back then. In the meantime there are several other cities close by who will also be having Christmas tree lighting ceremonies soon. Tonight was a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing more Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies.
